Prema podacima EMSC-a potres je zabilježen oko 21:20, a magnituda potresa bila je 4.2 stupnja prema Richterovoj ljestvici.
Epicentar potresa bio je 96 kilometara sjeverno sjeverozapadno od talijanskog grada Pescara i 38 kilometara istočno sjeveroistočno od grada Civitanova Marche.
Dubina potresa procjenjuje se na 51 kilometar.
